The NBA’s First SuperHero unveiled by Marvel & the Brooklyn Nets


According to both Marvel Entertainment and the Brooklyn Nets, the new mascot is the “protector of Brooklyn’s hometown team, defender of New York’s largest and most courageous borough, and ruler of Barclays Center.” The superhero made his debut at the Nets’ first game in their new arena and featured in BrooklyKnight #1, a 32-page comic book — written by Jason Aaron and illustrated by Mike Deodato — that was handed to all of the game’s attendees. Iron Man 3 Teaser


Today, Marvel looks to continue its Hollywood onslaught with the release of a teaser to Iron Man 3‘s first trailer. Other than getting a glimpse of Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow reprising their roles as Tony Stark and Pepper Potts, we’re not given any hints to the plot, yet. Tuesday Apple Trailers will premiere the trailer in its entirety.

Marvel Comics x Stussy – Influential Art

Within the last few weeks, we’ve seen a huge campaign on behalf of Marvel Comics and Stussy. Initially launching with the Series 1 range of T-shirts revolving around Stussy’s iconic branding as well as a launch event at Meltdown Comics, a special artist Series 2 capsule is set to drop. We speak with several of the personalities brought on board who were each given free rein on a super hero of their choice. Hear the likes of artists’ Mr. Cartoon, John K., Noah Butkus, Gary Panter, Bill Plympton and Will Sweeney as well as Marvel’s Axel Alonso and Stussy’s Adam Jay Weissman all speak about project and the influence that Marvel has brought upon them.

Stussy x Marvel – DJ Pete Rock

Rap royalty Pete Rock recently played the Stussy x Marvel launch party at Meltdown Comics in Los Angeles. Pete Rock is not only an accomplished DJ/Producer/Rapper but is also a big comic book head. We caught up with Pete at Forbidden Planet comic book shop in New York City to discuss his deep love for comics and hip hop’s connection to superheroes.

Stussy X Marvel X Ultimate Teamup

Today we get a first look at the much anticipated collaboration between Stussy and Marvel Comics. Entitled “The Ultimate Teamup”, the two have gotten together on a series of t-shirts for Summer 2011. The tees feature a mix of Marvel characters with iconic Stussy typography. The Stussy x Marvel Project will be available at Stussy.com, Stussy Chapter Stores and select retailers, starting April 27th with this Series One.

Stussy x Marvel Collaboration Announcement

Stussy teamed up with Marvel Comics for a collaboration that immerses classic characters from the Marvel universe and teleports them into Stussy’s galaxy of iconic imagery. Series 1, a collection of tees and hats that fuse archival Marvel images with Stussy’s iconic graphic language, will be released April 27th. Series 2, a collection of tees and hats that feature new works by a pool of international artists, invited to revisit their childhood inspirations and interpret their favorites utilizing their signature styles, will be dropping at retail on May 6th.
