Nike Unveils TRON like LED Digital Basketball Court for Kobe Bryant China Tour 2014

Nike & Kobe Bryant came together for his ninth tour and maybe last as a profession basketball player. During the tour’s Shanghai leg, the Laker welcomed guests to the House of Mamba with the world’s first full-sized LED basketball court. Laminated with LED display panels, the court visualize each player’s location on the court with motion-tracking arm band, just like the Game Grid straight out of TRON.

Phil Jackson says Michael Jordan would beat Kobe Bryant 1-on-1 | Video


The all-time winningest head coach in NBA history, Phil Jackson, stopped by Fox Sports 1 yesterday to discuss the NBA, the Lakers, Kobe’s injury and some of the all-time greats. In a segment with Gary Payton and host Charissa Thompson, Jackson was given two NBA players and asked to answer which one would win in a battle of one-on-one. Obviously, the segment ended with the two players that have most directly help Phil win 11 NBA Championships: Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. Phil’s answer was pretty definitive, but the story leading up to it is classic.

Kobe Bryant: ‘Only an idiot would’ doubt Lakers star comeback


Yesterday’s news Kobe Bryant would be laid up for another six weeks with a fracture of the lateral tibial plateau in his left knee, prompted many to declare him, and the Lakers, done for the season — with others pointing to his recent $48.5 million extension as a mistake. But Kobe has a message for anybody doubting his determination to come back again, telling Yahoo, “Only an idiot would.”
