NBA’s Board of Governors Approves Nets Relocation To Brooklyn


Late Friday afternoon, the approval for the official move to Brooklyn and name change for the Nets was formally announced. This move makes the Nets the first professional sports franchise in Brooklyn in over 50+ years. Nets PG Deron Williams is set to become a free agent this summer and will be heavily recruited by all 30 NBA teams. Nets owners Mikhail Prokhorov and Jay-Z are only concerned in building a championship team and that starts with convincing their star PG to sign a multi-year contract.

It’s perhaps easier to forget the name of fired ESPN editor Anthony Federico than it is to forgive the “Chink in the Armor” headline he wrote, but apparently Jeremy Lin did the latter face-to-face with Federico over lunch on Tuesday. ”It went incredible,” Federico said in a report by Newsday‘s Anthony Rieber. “I’m just so excited we had a chance to meet. We talked for an hour. I’m just so thankful.”
