Instagram Hits 27 Million Registered Users
Instagram, the whimsical photo-sharing app that combines some of the best aspects of social media platforms Twitter and Tumblr, has cleared the 27 million user mark. More interesting about this figure, is that over 67% of those users are still active, having used the app within the last 24 hours. Instagram’s Co-founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger revealed at SXSW that now that they’ve scaled enough to meet the needs of iPhone users, an Android app isn’t too far from release, opening up the platform to an entirely new user base. Kreiger hints that in some ways, the Android version is even better than its iPhone counterpart. An official launch date has yet to be revealed, but like most announcements of this nature in the tech world, it shouldn’t be too far off.

OUTSIDE IN: The Story of Art in the Streets
OUTSIDE IN is a celebratory and historical look at street art through the lens of the Museum of Contemporary Art’s groundbreaking exhibition Art in the Streets. The film features renowned artists Shepard Fairey, Lee Quiñones, Swoon, Futura, Mister Cartoon, Revok, Martha Cooper, Invader to name a few. Director Alex Stapleton (Corman’s World: Exploits of a Hollywood Rebel) documents the artist’s creative process, their pitfalls with the law, the poetic impermanence of their craft and the artists’ evolution from the back seat of a cop car to the walls of a well-respected institution.

It is important to note that an image may have several different, occasionally innocuous, meanings, depending on the interpretation of the individual or gangs using it. The Organized Crime Section (OCS) is providing the following tattoos and their definitions as a tool to assist officers in detecting gang members or members of a criminal organization. It is important that Border Services Officers contact their Regional Intelligence Officers to assist in determining a subject’s admissibility to Canada.
