A late-night altercation at a Chinatown restaurant — captured on video and posted online over the weekend — has police searching for a suspect who was dressed in a ‘SWAT’ costume.
The fight erupted at the Pho Xe Lua Restaurant on Spadina Avenue at approximately 3:30 a.m. Saturday involving several of the restaurant’s patrons.
Police say during the altercation a woman was struck in the face and suffered injuries that required medical treatment.
Investigators are now looking for any information that could lead to the whereabouts or identity of a male, in his 20s, described as muscular with multi-coloured tattoos on his left bicep.
The man can be seen in the video, with short, black hair wearing a tight black t-shirt, black pants and a costume vest emblazoned with the word ‘SWAT’.
The video clip of the incident posted to YouTube over the weekend has already been viewed more than 250,000 times.
