Buell X1 Cafe Racer by Sartorie Meccaniche

Recently, Francesco Torricella and his custom bike shop Sartorie Meccaniche were given the opportunity to put their stylish Italian touch to a Buell X1. The bike’s owner gave the crew carte blance, save for a couple of provisos: one, the tank had be painted iBritish racing green, and two, any modifications would have to be reversible in case the machine eventually went up for sale. Revisions included a tubular steel and painted black subframe, a fiberglass Norton endurance racing fuel tank, single carb construction with a K&N filter and a free-flow muffler and an entirely new cockpit.

Hormel’s Bacon Powered Diesel Motorcycle

Driven By Bacon, this documentary is about a diesel motorcycle that runs on bacon grease fuel. Austin-based Hormel makes a bacon grease powered motorcycle. Hormel came up with the idea of powering a motorcycle dubbed Hormel Black Label Bacon Motorcycle that runs on B-100 bio-diesel which is converted from bacon waste into bio-diesel by bio-Blend Fuels in Winsconsin. The bike fuel costs just $3.50 a gallon and makes the motorcycle run 75-100 miles per gallon. According to Nick Schweitzer, Hormel brand manager, the bacon bio-fuel does leave behind the smell of bacon when one drives it on the roads which all goes well for bacon lovers. Hormel is also looking for a bacon lover who’ll ride the bike on a cross country trip from Austin, MN to San Diego, CA.

Alan 55 Yact

This 55-foot cruiser yacht is like a boutique hotel room on the water.  The Alen 55 Yacht is a high-design take on the traditional center-console boat, featuring elegant teak lining, leather interior wall panels and lacquered surfaces inside. With the center-console design, a deep bulwark walkway allows safe and easy access around the front and back of the boat, so passengers up front are “in” the boat, not “on” the boat at cruising speed.  Its built to seat eight comfortably upstairs, with room below for passengers to sleep soundly overnight.

We’re guessing that most of the customers for an armored black Mercedes-Benz S-class aren’t the nicest folks in the world—perhaps dabbling in imports/exports, some light oppression, those sorts of things—and now they have a new version on which to spend their ill-gotten gains, the S600 Guard. (Mercedes will of course sell them to upstanding types, too.)
