Kevin Durant Signs New Deal With NIKE for 300M


At the 11th hour, Nike decided they could not loose one of their biggest superstars by making an offer that could be worth more than $300 million to Kevin Durant. Earlier this month, Under Armour pulled out their war chest offering a deal in the $265-$285 million range along with stock options to Durant. But with Nike’s option to match any offer on the table, a deal was struck earlier Sunday that would keepKevin Durant with Nike for the next 10 years. If all goes well, the final sneaker of this mega deal will be the Nike KD 17 due the Summer of 2024.

Rajon Rondo Wants Out of the Boston Celtics


Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo will be a free agent next summer, but the Celtics wanted to see how much better he’s gotten since ACL surgery, and trading him before he possibly leaves in free agency isn’t a priority. Except, new revelations from the estimable Jackie MacMullan indicate Rondo wants out, as he’s told GM Danny Ainge and the C’s brass despite the public facade.

Doc Rivers Agrees to 5 Year $50M Extension with the LA Clippers


Apparently $21 million over three years wasn’t enough for Doc Rivers. Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer thought so, too. Rivers has agreed to a five-year contract worth in excess of $10 million annually to remain with the Clippers through the 2018-2019 season, reports say.
